Sam Bertling
Sam is no longer a member of The Central Bank music project. He is now making music and performs guitar-based music around Stockholm.

About Sam:

He is born in Östersund, Sweden and grew up on a farm during his first five years. During his teens he liked to play football and chasing girls. He played drums in a punk rock band called The Rat Scabies, in the late eighties. He also learned to play guitar and was a success in local pubs.

He started to write songs that were influenced by his new perspectives and views that he had gained from his experiences with new people and places. He returned to Sweden and tried to get in contact with record companies. He was successful in his search and got a job at Dr. Records. He worked as a songwriter in the studio and meanwhile he had the opportunity to write an album to a Swedish artist called Drömhus alias Therese Grankvist. One of the songs called "Hålla dig nära" sold over 20 000 copies and Sam got a gold record to put on his wall. He has also written demo songs to Dr Alban, the latest named "Mr. lover boy". "Memories" was the last song he wrote for Dr. Records which was a song for the Swedish schlager contest performed by the female singer Anni.

During the time he worked at the studio he meet the producer and songwriter Patrik Pistol which later became his very good friend. They started to make music together. Their first single was "The bank" and it was more influences of eurotechno. It played on radiostations and clubs around in Sweden.

Though Sam is no longer a member of The Central Bank he is still a very good friend of Patrik Pistol. And you will probably hear Sam on some upcomming songs in the futire.
