We often receive questions about copyright issues from people who want to publish material from thecentralbank.net in another context. Here you can see what the rules are.

All text and pictures and all video and audio published on this site are property of thecentralbank.net. On certain conditions one may use some of this material, and the conditions for this use can be found below. Unauthorized use of the material is not accepted and violators may be prosecuted.

The permission to use the material is intended for news and information purposes only. All other use of the material can only be allowed after written consent from thecentralbank.net.

You are welcome to write and publish an article based on any article at thecentralbank.net as long as you publish www.thecentralbank.net as the source of the information.

Newspapers and other written media and Internet web sites must at least once in each article inform of the source and spell out the full address: www.thecentralbank.net and are obliged to inform that thecentralbank.net is the official site for The Central Bank. Internet web sites must in addition always put up a link to www.thecentralbank.net.

Pictures

In our ‘press pictures' section at Press Lounge you will find the pictures that you are allowed to use. Only photos published in the Press Pictures page in the Press section can be published freely by others. Credit must always be given to www.thecentralbank.net.

Video and audio

It is strictly prohibited to modify, copy, reproduce, republish, transmit or distribute in any way video and audio material from this site.

Any use of material that exceeds these rules must be cleared through a written consent with thecentralbank.net. If you have any further questions, please contact us.

The Central Bank holds all copyrights for The Central Bank's singels, albums and videos. Please send all requests regarding music and video as well as information about copyright violations against The Central Bank's music and videos directly them.

Fan Contributions - General Conditions

Fans are welcome to contribute to the site with their own material. Other features may be published in the Fan Features section of the Community on thecentralbank.net. Here you can read about general conditions for having your contribution published in the Community.

General criteria for publishing:

  • High quality in all aspects of language
  • High technical quality in pictures and good motives
  • Relevance for people interested in The Central Bank
  • Originality or creative aspects
  • Text
    Please make sure that your language is correct, as we do not have resources to rewrite your contribution. We will check your material though, and use our editorial position to clean up obvious mistakes.
    All written material must be sent in English, as this is the site’s main language. We will however, be more than happy to put up a link to your article in another language. This implies that if your mother tongue is not English, you can write your contribution in your own language, and then have somebody translate it to English. Both articles must be sent to us. Unfortunately we cannot administrate the actual translation at the moment, but maybe there are other The Central Bank fans that could help out on this.

    Pictures
    You're welcome to send pictures to accompany your text. These should be attached to your mail. It may be a good idea to add a caption to go with each picture. Remember to provide information about the photographers name!
    If you want to send us pictures, remember the format: All pictures must be JPG, screen resolutions are 72dpi and the picture must not be larger than 640x480 pixels.

    Conditions
    thecentralbank.net has unlimited editorial rights concerning all submitted material. We have the right to decide whether it will be published or not, and we also have the right to publish just parts of the material. thecentralbank.net will only take publishing decisions on submitted material, and cannot promise to publish anything in beforehand.

    thecentralbank.net will make direct contact with the contributor before publishing only if the material will have to go through considerable changes in order to be published.

    We promise to read everything you submit and consider it seriously, but we cannot promise to publish everything. We hope that you will understand that we don’t have the capacity for individual response on your contribution, as we are few people in the editorial staff. Please understand and excuse us for this limitation.

    All the material you send in must be without any copyright restrictions. thecentralbank.net must be able to use all material free of charge for any length of time.

    All submitted material must be signed with your full name. Under special circumstances we will consider publishing content under a pseudonym, but the editor at thecentralbank.net must know your full name in any case.
